Modernizing Little Towns Like Hoquiam Wa
Transforming a small and quiet little town can sometimes be difficult as well as challenging. Perhaps the reason for this is because of the combination of progress and tradition. However, every small town or city should accept the fact that at one point they too will have to evolve in order to keep up with changing times. On the other hand, change does not necessarily have to be incompatible with tradition, but must blend with it. This process makes it interesting because it can help us understand how civilizations evolve over time.
One such small city is Hoquiam, Wa. This little town tries to cope with the changes happening around it. Primarily known for its lumber and logging industry, the town cherishes its culture and traditions so much that each year they celebrate an event called the Logger’s Playday together with a logging festival that comes complete with a parade that instills onto each of its people its rich history and culture.
These traditions are timeless and are known to form the groundwork of Hoquiam’s culture. These practices, however, together with real estate developments, must at one point give in and embrace modern times in order to evolve.
To illustrate, Hoquiam Wa has a beautiful stretch of waterfront properties. This waterfront location has not been used since the 1980s. This area can be a good spot for real estate developments. Most people already think that developing the area will revive local culture as well as draw more tourists. Because of this, Hoquiam will not only be known for its logging and lumber industries but a very good tourist attraction as well.
Real estate developments centered along the waterfront has proven to be very successful. Examples of this would be the cities of Baltimore and San Antonio. The extensive waterfront in Hoquiam is suitable for real estate developments, which will have modern amenities for entertainment and shopping. With these kinds of attractions, the town will become one of the nicest places to visit. The reason why real estate developments along waterfront areas have been increasing is that these are areas where people like to hang out, window shop and dine amidst the beautiful scenery around.
The neighboring city of Aberdeen, together with other similar larger cities or town, most often get bigger opportunities for development. Budget allocations are also most of the time given to them than smaller towns or cities. Little do these towns and cities know that Hoquiam, Wa should be one of the places they should watch out for.
Hoquiam’s downtown and waterfront areas are good places for modernization and real estate developments. They will be one of the most beautiful places to visit while at the same time capable of competing with any other larger town or city near it.
Modernity has somehow forced each town and city to make some changes. However, history, culture, and tradition should not be compromised. Hoquiam, Wa, as it is a small town, should accept this change while at the same time holding on to its past. Redefining itself while at the same time embracing its rich heritage is what will make different and stand out among the rest.
