Coast to Coast Travel
Wouldn’t it be great if life had subtitles? Then, one might be able to understand all three of our kids, talking excitedly at once during the family vacations that we take to Florida during the summer. My husband always says, “I’d rather be driving a golf ball than driving for 12 hours to Disney World with a car full of kids!” Avoiding this scenario is why we started opting for some of the Florida vacation packages that can be found online. All-inclusive vacations include airfare, hotel, and car rental, and take a lot of the stress out of traveling with the family unit. Unfortunately, these packages do not include babysitters or suggestions for travel activities that can prevent the two boys from tormenting their younger sister. Family life can certainly be challenging at times!
We always grab the local Florida parks and guides to help lead us along on our trip. We don’t want to miss a thing and the guide always leads us in the right direction. Even the most difficult of people to please are happy when it’s all over.
When next year rolls around I think we may try California vacation packages instead. We have never traveled to California and I hear it is a great place to go and that they have excellent food choices. MY aunt is from the area and she suggests using the public transportation to get around because the people drive nutty around there. I am sure will pick up a California parks and guides book to help us on our way. We may even try out San Diego; I hear it’s warm year round. The holiday and leisure company I am sure has some great deals for us to check out.
It is almost impossible to please every one on a vacation. All kids seem to march to the beat of different drums. Not one has the same taste in anything. Although trying and sometimes hard to get along with, we try to make our kids as happy as possible. We have but one rule in our family “Don’t sweat the petty things and don’t pet the sweaty things” That one seems to get us through the stickiest of messes.
Going to Florida one year and California the next always seemed like a great plan if we could just stay organized, but you know how it is with kids. You spend the entire first few years of their lives trying to teach them how to talk and walk. You then spend the rest of their natural lives telling them to sit down and be quiet. I wonder if they will ever like the same things at the same times? Yeah, I doubt it.
